Electrodry is an Australian company that was started in Newcastle in 1983 by Paul Burchell. The system was considered revolutionary at the time and to match a revolutionary system of carpet cleaning Paul decided that the trucks should look revolutionary as well, hence the bright but effective sign writing on the vehicles.
Electrodry sold its first franchise in 1985 and has now launched over 110 carpet cleaning franchises - all locally owned and operated by more than 100 franchisees. The Electrodry brand is now recognised as the leading dedicated Carpet Cleaning Franchise Company established in every Australian state.
Electrodry's carpet cleaning franchises continue to grow as a result of an effective franchising model, effective management practices, huge advertising campaigns and a committed and enthusiastic team who are passionate about supporting franchisees and our customers. .
In 2007 Electrodry achieved an increase in turnover of 12% (this was achieved with only one 1 new franchise site) and we are aiming for an increase in turnover of 20% for 2008.
Electrodry is a wholly Australian owned company. Paul Burchell is the Managing Director and Michael Handa is the General Manager.
