Electrodry started in 1983 making this year its 25th anniversary.
What type of carpet cleaning services does Electrodry offer to customers? [Back to Top]
Electrodry offers a unique carpet dry cleaning service. Using Electrodry's exclusive carpet cleaning chemistry we are able to deliver our customers a carpet cleaning service that removes more stains than any other system and leaves the carpet walk on dry straight away. We also offer upholstery cleaning, mattress cleaning, tile and grout cleaning and drapery cleaning services with each service incorporating Healthguard in the cleaning chemicals enabling us to kill the germs and bacteria as well as achieving amazing cleaning results.
How much is an Electrodry franchise? [Back to Top]
The cost of an Electrodry franchise will vary depending on the area and it's previous trading history. A franchise purchased from Head Office will generally be between $39,000 and $50,000 plus equipment. The purchase price is usually paid in 2 equal instalments that are 12 months apart enabling the franchisee time to save all or part of the second instalment from the running of the business in the first year.
If an existing franchise is being purchased then the purchase price will vary depending on the trading history of the business.
How much is the royalty fee and what do I receive for my royalty fees? [Back to Top]
There is a base royalty fee that will vary depending on the area however the franchise fee will generally be approx 10% of turnover.
Is there an advertising contribution and, if so, what type of advertising and promotional support will I receive? [Back to Top]
The advertising contribution will vary depending on the franchise area. The contribution will generally cover Yellow Pages Advertising, Television, the distribution of between 3,000 and 5,000 full colour brochures per week and the distribution of 1,000 lifestyle newsletters to previous clients every 3 months. We have determined the advertising levels with the goal of allowing us to build our customer base so that we can consistently improve our turnover by 10% to 20% per annum.
Is there a training program? And if so, what type of training will I receive? [Back to Top]
You will receive 2 weeks of hands on training with a franchise member in your local area and 3 days training at our head office in Newcastle. Each franchise member will undertake 2 courses with the IICRC (International Institute for Cleaning and Restoration Certification) which is an international training and certification body. The IICRC courses help provide the knowledge to turn each franchise member into an industry expert.
Electrodry also conducts training for its franchise members in all major cities.
Is the franchisee required to purchase any equipment, product, or supplies directly from Electrodry? [Back to Top]
The Electrodry cleaning system is unique to Electrodry and all cleaning products must be purchased from Electrodry along with some other marketing material. Electrodry offers for sale most other items required for the running of the Electrodry business at very cost effective although franchise members are welcome to purchase these items from other suppliers if they wish.
How much can I expect to earn from my franchise? [Back to Top]
The profit from an Electrodry franchise depends on the efforts of the franchisee. A single person operation can earn a profit of $90K to $100K with a little hard work, following the Electrodry system and simply recommending to a client additional services that could be of benefit given their circumstances. Once a franchise has been developed it is possible for the franchise to turnover $300K plus and achieve a profit of $100K to $150K^.
When Electrodry Head Office sells a franchise it warrants* an income of $50,000 in the first year of the business.
What is the length of my franchise agreement? [Back to Top]
Each agreement is for 5 years, renewable at no cost (except for preparation of documents) every 5 years for up to 50 years.
May I sell my franchise right? [Back to Top]
Yes. Many Electrodry franchises have been sold at substantial capital profits and this is one of the greatest advantages of an Electrodry franchise.

Yes, some of our most successful franchise members are multiple franchise owners.
Why should I purchase a franchise? [Back to Top]
An Electrodry franchise is ideal for someone wanting to take control of their life, gain some economic freedom and reap the rewards of their own efforts. There is no experience required to be an Electrodry franchise. Our franchise members come from many different backgrounds. It is important that each franchise member have a strong determination to succeed and enjoy dealing with the public and some physical work.

3 We will organise a hands on "trail day" where you will go on the road with an existing franchise member.
This day will help give you a better understanding of what is involved in running an Electrodry franchise, to see how effective the Electrodry system is and the results it achieves and to help you decide if running an Electrodry franchise is for you.
1. We will organise an assessment interview – an opportunity for you to find out much more about Electrodry and ask for all the information you need. It also gives us the ability to be able to evaluate your ability to be a successful Electrodry franchisee.
2. We will request you to fill out and send back a Franchise Qualification Application.
3. We will then supply you with the legal documentation and other financial information required for you to decide if an Electrodry franchise is for you.
